Anthony

Anthony is enjoying 6th grade this year.  He loves his teacher and friends.  We're blessed at having such a good school so close.

He's playing soccer again this year.

He said next year he'll want to try out for football.

Oh brother!

We'll see.

Mission Trip

My friend, Price Harris, whom I met about 5 years ago invited me to go with his church family and do a mission trip to New Orleans.

We passed out flyers to neighboring residents and had a pretty good turn out.

They had rented snow ball machines, grill, popcorn maker, space walks, and had other equipment that helped make the day a success.

The children loved the puppets.

We had a street evangelist that used a visual aide to explain the plan of salvation.  Others, including myself and Price ministered in music.  

We had an old fashion block party.

The Lord opened the sky and pushed the thunder storms in the other direction.

Anthony went down with me but didn't sing.  I tried to get him to practice but he didn't take time out.  He's really quite good.  

I sang Sandi Patti's "Face To Faith".

Price sang "Anybody Here Want To Live Forever?" and got the children involved.

We received coupons to eat a Ci Ci's Pizza from Celebration Church of New Orleans.

Thank you Bro. Price and your ministry for allowing me to help spread the Gospel.

After school let out for summer.  Anthony and I have enjoyed swimming, visiting with Jennifer and John and going to watch Kennedi in her recital.  

Jennifer and John were able to rent a darling blue house in Slidell.  Its 3 bedrooms with a lot of room in the kitchen.  I'm so happy for them.  They're really excited.  

Rosalita spent a week with them while Anthony and I went to MS College for Centri Kids.  

It was great!  Anthony learned a dance and did it on stage Thurs. night.  They were able to choose two tracks.  Anthony's was Foot Praise and Volleyball.  I never heard him complain about the heat.  It was very hot.  Not a drop of rain and no clouds.  We haven't had rain in over a month.   

We've had guest stay in our guest house.  My aunt Addie and her daughter Annette.  Chris, Kristin, Preston, and Liam, my nephew and his wife and their son and Rick's son.  Rick, Ami, and their boys, Liam, Jackson, and Garrett will come this weekend.  

Looking at this picture makes me feel cool.  Wish it was cool enough to wear this.  Anthony took this picture after a style show I was in.  It was at Boudreaux's in Baton Rouge back in May.
